It was last year, October 2007 and we decided to
Balik Kampung (go back to hometown) to celebrate
Hari Raya Puasa (the muslim festival to mark the culmination of Ramadhan, the holy month of fasting) and do
Akikah (a thanks giving celebration of the birth) for Amir. Since it was festival period and Amir's first long journey, we decided to break journey at Awana Kijal, Terengganu. We stayed there one night and continue our journey the next morning.

Amir is ready for balik kampung..

By the time we want to start journey, he already slept in his car seat..
Since it was Amir's first balik kampung, we have to visit to our grandmother house..

Akikah Ceremony DayAs I was told you above, Akikah is Islamic way or method to thank the god for the birth of son or daughter. In case of son, parents have to slaughter two goats or sheeps, cook it and make it as a feast. We invited our relatives to enjoy the Akikah luncheon.

Part of Akikah ceremony,
Selawat (Praise to our Prohet Muhammad)
